Join us as for the 2020 - 2021 school year in the studio and online! For over 30 years, the Contra Costa Ballet Centre has offered the highest-caliber classical ballet training in Contra Costa County. Our online and hybrid program is no exception! All classes are taught by the same dedicated professional faculty, aligned with our proven curriculum and standards. Whether in the physical studio or online, our focus is on the development of each individual student and the excellence and joy of dance.

LEVEL 1 - CREATIVE BALLET (ONLINE)
For beginning dancers ages 7 – 9. Students must be at least 7 years old by August 15th, 2020.
***NEW FOR FALL!*** Our first-year class has been reimagined for the virtual studio! The fundamentals of ballet technique are integrated with imaginative exercises and creative movement. Classes are created and taught by Ms. Milissa Payne Bradley, an award-winning choreographer and ABT-certified instructor with an M.F.A. in Dance. No audition required for students joining by November 1st. Tuition: $125 per month.
LEVELS 2 - COMPANY (ONLINE/HYBRID)
For experienced dancers ages 8 - 18.
Level 2 offered online only. Levels 3 - Company must submit a Hybrid/Online Participation Form (included in the registration confirmation email) indicating their preference for the online or hybrid program. Space in the hybrid program is limited according to Contra Costa County Health Services guidance. Class levels may be split into up to two groups and split or rotate the scheduled in-studio classes. Students will be placed on a wait-list if in-studio group capacity is met.
Audition required for new students; please email school@contracostaballet.org to schedule an audition class. Current CCBC families may register online according to their class placement.

DRESS CODE
Dance apparel may be purchased from Contra Costa Dancewear, conveniently located at 675 Ygnacio Valley Rd. #B104, Walnut Creek (within one block of the Contra Costa Ballet Centre), or from another dance-apparel retailer of your choice.

LADIES
LEVELS 1 & 2:
Leotard, tights, ballet shoes; hair up and fastened (e.g. bun, French twist, clipped to the head).
​​
LEVELS 3 - COMPANY:
Black leotard, ballet pink tights (Levels 3 & 4 without seams; Levels 5 – Company with seams) and pink ballet shoes. Ballet skirts and bulky sweaters are not allowed. Hair pulled back into a neat bun. No dangling jewelry.

GENTLEMEN
LEVELS 1 & 2:
Dance tights or biking shorts, ballet shoes, fitted white t-shirt, waistband belt; hair combed neatly off the face.

LEVELS 3 - COMPANY:
Fitted white t-shirt, black dance tights, black dance belt, and black ballet shoes. Hair worn styled off the face.

EQUIPMENT
​An internet-connected computer or tablet with camera are required. Students should set up their device in a well-lit room with a smooth flooring surface (e.g. wood/laminate/tile), with the camera positioned to capture their full body. A sturdy chair, table, or countertop will be needed to function as the barre. A yoga/Pilates mat or thick towel is required for Levels 5 - Company students for Stretch class.
