STUDENT DIVISION
2022 - 2023
FALL & SPRING SESSIONS
August 15th, 2022 - June 4th, 2023
The Student Division serves the development of its students from their first encounter with music and movement to their emergence as young dancers. The curriculum and syllabus is carefully designed to introduce the correct technique and instruction at the appropriate age and physical development of the student. While many students may go on to pursue professional careers, the focus of training is on the excellence and joy of dance at each level of achievement.
Classes are offered at seven progressive levels of achievement, with the highest level representing the Contra Costa Ballet Company. With each level, as the young dancer gains proficiency and confidence, greater emphasis is placed on artistry and performance quality.
LEVEL 1
Age 7 - 9. Students must be at least 7 years old by October 31st, 2022.
No audition required for dancers joining the school year by October 31st, 2022. Dancers seeking to join after this date should request an audition by calling (925) 935-7984.
LEVELS 2 - 6 & COMPANY
Experienced dancers, age 8 - 18.
Audition required for new students. Dancers seeking to join should call (925) 935-7984. Current CCBC dancers may register according to their class placement. See schedule below.
