OPEN STUDIO

Join us for an afternoon of dance at the Contra Costa Ballet Centre! Your family is invited into the studio for a glimpse into the world of classical ballet. Complimentary dance workshops and a performance by the Contra Costa Ballet Company are some of the highlights of this Open Studio event!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Follow Alice down the rabbit hole as she embarks on a fantastical journey in Robert Dekkers’ Alice in Wonderland. Presented by the Contra Costa Ballet Foundation, this hour-long adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s timeless story highlights Contra Costa Ballet’s talented dancers and professional guest artists. With an original score by Daniel Berkman, Victorian-inspired costumes by Marlowe Bassett, larger-than-life lighting and stunning sets, Alice in Wonderland is filled with wonder and fun for the whole family!

Contra Costa Ballet presents the Bay Area’s most family-friendly production of The Nutcracker. For one weekend only, join Clara and her beloved nutcracker-turned-prince on a magical journey among giant mice and toy soldiers into the deliciously-delightful Candy Kingdom. Contra Costa Ballet brings The Nutcracker to life in this festive production filled with colorful costumes, whimsical sets and an array of talented, young dancers. This one-hour performance is an elegant introduction to the holiday classic.
