COVID-19 Participation Requirements

Face Coverings & Physical Distancing

An appropriate face covering that fully covers the nose and mouth must be worn at all times on the Contra Costa Ballet Centre premises. Dancers must observe physical distancing whenever possible, keeping a minimum distance of 6 feet between themselves and others.

Arrival & Departure
Dancers may enter the building no earlier than 15 minutes prior to class. The building will be closed until that time.

Only dancers participating in class will be admitted into the building.

Dancers must sanitize their hands upon arrival and departure.

Dancers must exit the building promptly when class ends.

Symptom Screening

Dancers may have their temperature taken with a contactless forehead thermometer and/or COVID-19 symptoms screened by faculty/staff and asked to sanitize their hands upon arrival. We also ask that adult dancers monitor their own health and take their temperature PRIOR to arriving at the Contra Costa Ballet Centre.

Dancers should not arrive for class, nor will they be allowed to participate, if they, or someone they have been exposed to, have tested positive for COVID-19 or had symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 14 days or have within the past 24 hours experienced fever of 100.4° F or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. Dancers who appear unwell will not be permitted to participate at faculty/staff discretion.

Facilities & Amenities

The dressing room, water fountain and office phone are not available for use. Dancers should arrive underdressed, in their ballet attire, and bring only what they need such as:

 

- ample bottled water*

- extra face coverings (to change out of if needed due to moisture/perspiration)

- cover-up clothing*

 

Belongings will be kept with dancers in the studio beneath their marked barre space. Dancers must change their shoes prior to entering the dance studio.
