Contra Costa Ballet Foundation is pleased to present again this year its innovative outreach program free of charge to student groups K-5th grade.
Performed by dancers of the Contra Costa Ballet, a pre-professional youth company, in the studios of the Contra Costa Ballet in Walnut Creek, Dance! offers an exciting 60 minute lecture demonstration program which transports students through time with an exciting visual dance timeline. Highlights include:
Dance history
(origins of ballet, dance terminology)
Dance training
(demonstrations from ballet basics to breathtaking combinations of turns and leaps!),
Performance of actual classical and contemporary ballet varations
Audience participation
(students will be invited to participate during the demonstration).
This program offers up to 60 students per show the opportunity to experience the beauty, strength, and excitement of this wonderful art form up close and first hand.
