Instructor

Ashley Flaner received her training at the Contra Costa Ballet School. Upon graduation, she earned a B.A. in Dance from UC Irvine. Ms. Flaner went on to study at the American Ballet Theatre and the National Conservatoire of Paris. She has performed lead roles in the works by Balanchine and William Forsythe and as a member of Donald McKayle's Etude Ensemble, originated her role in "Ash".

Upon her return to the Bay Area in 2002, she danced professionally with Charles Anderson's‘ Company C Contemporary Ballet’ for four and a half years and became an instructor at Contra Costa Ballet Centre. Ms. Flaner is a Certified Pilates Instructor who works with clients to help them achieve a balance of body, mind, and spirit.
